Women’s health embodies so many different things – from contraception to cervical screenings, full medical checks and menopause care. For us, it also means innovation: with our own on-site laboratory, we provide STI screening and testing with same day results, including same day results for HPV testing on cervical smears.
Based in a calm and comfortable setting, our team of experienced female doctors and nurses are here to help – and can also draw on our extensive referral network of consultants to direct you to a suitable specialist when needed. When one of our patients finds a breast lump, for example, we can usually arrange a specialist referral on the same day.

Female Health Screenings
Small, regular health screenings are vital for preventing serious health issues. If you don’t want a full medical, you can have individual health screens depending on your individual concerns. This might just be a gynaecological health check, or even more specific, like a breast examination or a cervical smear. This type of screening allows you to understand your health status and give you peace of mind.
Contraceptive Pill
The contraceptive pill is a very popular choice of contraception for women. It is widely trusted with very little side effects. There are many different types of “the pill” with different combinations of hormones which can accommodate your individual needs. With the guidance our our doctors, you can choose the right one for you.

Contraceptive implants are very popular with women who find it difficult to remember to take the contraceptive pill everyday. This long-acting reversible contraceptive is highly effective and offers protection for many years before needing changing.

Coils are also a very popular, highly effective, long-acting, reversible contraceptive. There are two different types of coil available, one even being non-hormonal. This option is preferred by many women who want a stress-free contraceptive.

FAQs
Most gynaecological services can be done whilst you are on your period including coils and implants, with the exception of having a cervical smear. If you have any concerns about this, please let us know before your appointment, and we’ll be able to advise you if we think you need to postpone coming to see us.
We are not a specialist fertility clinic but we can look at your health in general and see if there are any causes for concern. If you are at an early stage in the process, our doctor may suggest a basic series of tests and screenings to delve a little deeper. If after initial investigations they feel you would be better suited to be under the care of a specialist, they will be able to refer you.
If you have symptoms of possible endometriosis, come and see one of our doctors in the first instance. If you would feel more comfortable you are welcome to ask to see one of our female doctors. They will ask you about your current health and symptoms and help confirm the diagnosis. If you are already have a diagnosis and either want a second opinion or a discussion about next steps, please book an appointment and we will do our best to help.
