Drugs and Alcohol in the Workplace
Drug and alcohol misuse cause significant impacts in the workplace including reduced performance, higher levels of absenteeism, and risks to the safety and wellbeing of the individual, their colleagues, and members of the public.
The Fleet Street Clinic offers a variety of drug and alcohol testing services from our qualified occupational health practitioners.
We are able to offer:
- Instant drug and alcohol tests (from urine or oral fluids) which can be undertaken on or off-site to give immediate results.
- Breathalyser testing which to measure blood alcohol content
- Lab analysis from either urine or blood sampling for both drug and alcohol testing
We offer these services for:
- Random drug and alcohol screening
- Pre-employment screening
- Cause for concern
- Return to work screening
These tests can include a chain-of-custody protocol, and can be performed in the workplace or at our clinic.

I wanted to get a private covid vaccination as soon as it is available. The Fleet street clinic must be one of the first places in London, where the private Covid vaccination is available. I booked on Saturday for my appointment on Monday. When I got to the clinic I waited for less than 5 minutes. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall a very pleasant experience. I'm glad to have the vaccine as I'm not eligible under new NHS rules.
