Ruth Kander has over 19 years experience specialising in nutrition and diet in the NHS, and over 10 years in the freelance sector. She has covered many clinical areas and can advise on most adult medical conditions.
Ruth’s specialist area is nephrology (renal) and she has been involved with all areas for the past 15 years. Currently, as well as working the Fleet Street Clinic, Ruth works as a dietitian at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as well as running her own freelance practice.
Ruth has developed a training pack for nurses in nutrition and has won a number of awards, including the British Dietetic Association Elizabeth Washington award for online doctors nutrition education, a Star award for dedicated patient care at Imperial College Healthcare NHS trust and the Full Monty award at Cambian Healthcare for dietetic service.
Ruth is passionate about volunteering and currently helps a local care home with clinical governance, provides nutrition education for local schools and regularly mentors newly qualified dietitians within her community.
Above all, Ruth treasures time with her 3 beautiful children and loves baking with them among other activities.
