The risk of getting Travellers’ Diarrhoea varies between destinations, and in the countries with highest risk, good medical resources may be hard to find.

Broadly, the level of risk is as follows:

Low-risk areas:

Western Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Intermediate-risk areas:

Southern Europe, South Africa, some parts of the Caribbean and the Pacific islands.

High-risk areas:

Most of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
